Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 10 April, 2026
1. Introduction
Gabble Tech Private Limited ("Gabble", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from students using the Gabble platform, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Your Institution (the educational institute or coaching centre that enrolled you) is the data controller responsible for your data on this Platform. Gabble acts as a data processor, handling your data only on the instructions of your Institution.
2. What Data We Collect
- Account Information: Your name and email address, provided by your Institution when your account is created.
- Written Submissions: Essays and written responses you submit for evaluation.
- Audio Recordings: Voice recordings submitted for speaking tasks.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the Platform — pages visited, tasks attempted, time spent, and device/browser information.
- Performance Data: AI-generated scores and feedback from your submissions.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide AI-powered evaluation and feedback on your submissions.
- To track your progress and display results to you and your Institution.
- To improve and develop the Platform and its AI models (using anonymised data only).
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Platform.
- To communicate with your Institution about your account (we do not contact you directly for marketing).
4. Audio Recordings
Audio recordings you submit are processed by AI to evaluate your speaking performance. Specifically:
- Recordings are transmitted securely to AI service providers for transcription and evaluation.
- Recordings may be retained for a limited period to generate and store your results.
- Anonymised audio data may be used to improve AI evaluation accuracy. Your identity is not linked to any data used for model training.
- Recordings are not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. AI Processing
- Your written and audio submissions are processed by AI systems to generate scores and feedback.
- AI evaluations are automated — no human reviewer reads your submissions unless you raise a support issue.
- AI-generated feedback is for practice purposes and may not exactly reflect official exam scoring.
- We use third-party AI providers (such as Google or OpenAI) to process submissions. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as necessary to operate the Platform:
- Your Institution: Has access to your account details and performance results.
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (storage, compute, file delivery).
- AI Providers: For evaluation of submissions (e.g., Google, OpenAI).
- Analytics Tools: Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, used to understand how the Platform is used. These tools may use cookies.
7. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and analyse usage patterns. Analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity may record session activity (mouse movements, clicks, scrolls) to help us improve the user experience. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
8. Data Retention
- Your account and submission data is retained while your Institution's account is active.
- Data may be deleted or anonymised after 6 months of inactivity, or upon your Institution's request.
- Audio recordings may be deleted sooner once evaluation is complete.
9. Your Rights
Because your Institution is the data controller, requests regarding your personal data should be directed to your Institution. Your Institution can:
- Request access to the data held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
If you believe your data is being misused, you may also contact us directly at legal@gabble.ai.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children and Minors
Students under the age of 18 may use the Platform only under the supervision of their Institution. Institutions are responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent before enrolling minors.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify your Institution of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
14. Contact
For privacy-related questions, contact your Institution or reach us at legal@gabble.ai.
